With the onset of COVID-19, our advisor, Dr. Naveen, noticed that in many cases diseases are diagnosed too late and remain hidden until the symptoms of the disease have become prolonged, leading to poor health outcomes. Not just COVID, he realized that a similar situation was there for other respiratory problems. He realized that there was a need for a faster, more accurate, and more accessible way to diagnose diseases. He envisioned the potential of using respiratory sounds to detect respiratory diseases, and that's how DIY Healthcare was born. This vision further solidified our mission to battle the global challenge of diseases exacerbated by air pollution.
